Cyber law expert and advocate, Supreme Court, Pavan Duggal, too opines: "The government has proposed to substitute the term digital signatures with electronic signatures that will widen the scope of the term. 13. Digital signature project to be put on the fast track

NEW DELHI: In a move to speed up the process of allocating digital signatures to individual users, the government plans to review the implementation process for the initiative. A survey has been initiated to identify problem areas creating roadblocks in speedy allocation of digital signatures. "We have started a survey of the implementation process and expect to get it completed by the end of September after which we would start reviewing the process.
